Product Description

 

1.1         Introduction

The Yacer HDLC-TCMS protocol converter, provides dual RS-485 synchronous & asynchronous serial ports and two expansion interfaces, with support for the conversion between synchronous HDLC and asynchronous UART. Optional dual 100M Ethernet interfaces, to achieve the protocol conversion between the serial port and the Ethernet interface.

Industrial wide temperature, complete isolation protection measures, applicable for the train communication network.

1.3         Features

  • Dual 10/100M Ethernet interfaces, with support for the Ethernet switching and dual-IP
  • S1, S2: Dual RS-485 synchronous and asynchronous serial ports with isolation
  • S3: Optional RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 serial port for the expansion interface
  • S4: Optional RS-422, RS-485 serial port or CAN bus for the expansion interface
  • All serial ports support the synchronous HDLC protocol & asynchronous UART

1.4         Basic Function Blocks

The basic function blocks are shown in the drawing below:

  • S1, S2 are dual RS-485 interfaces, which are connected to X20, X21;
  • S3 expansion interface, optional RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485, is connected to X3;
  • S4 expansion interface, optional CAN, RS-422 or RS-485, is connected to X4;
  • ETH1, ETH2 are dual 100M Ethernet interfaces, which are connected X10, X11;
  • X5 is the power connector.
